Fiji Islands Climate

Fiji Weather Satellite Map with link to view current Radar Loop

FIJI enjoys a tropical climate, ideal for all kinds of vacation. There is little daily or seasonal temperature range. It is rare to see the temperature dip below 17 deg C (60 deg F) or go above 30-31 deg C (86 deg F). Below is an outline of what to expect at different times of the year. There are basically just two seasons - Summer and Winter.

Peak season is from April to November. This is the dry, winter season. Winter is dry and warm. Daily temperatures average 20-30 deg C (64 - 78 deg F).

Low season is from November to April. This is the more humid, summer season. Summer is hotter and there is more chance of tropical rain. Even though it is wetter it is still warm so it's still possible to enjoy being outdoors! Summer is also the season when cyclones "may" occur. This does not always happen, however, if travelling during this season it may be especially advisable to take out travel insurance in case of cancelled or postpone flights. Low season (summer)is the time when flowers are at their finest and great holiday travel deals are available. Daily temperatures average 20-30 deg C (72 - 86 deg F).
